What gets recorded

How visit statistics work

Your browser sends visit statistics to this site's own address, /api/touch, and from there they pass to an analytics provider (EU) that stores them on servers inside the European Union. Your IP address is passed along so a rough location (country and city) can be worked out. A random code kept in session storage links the pages of one visit and disappears when you close the tab, so separate visits are not tied together. No statistics cookies are set. Visitors in the EU are only counted after they choose "Allow".

Where the analysis button goes

"Start my analysis" and similar buttons pass through acneonchin.com/chin-scan and then open acne.today, a separate paid service. The link tells acne.today which site and which button you came from, and which result the chin check gave if you used it. Anything you share with acne.today, such as photos, answers or payment details, falls under its own privacy policy.
